The MCS-150 is the Motor Carrier Identification Report filed with FMCSA. Carriers are required to update it biennially and whenever key information changes.

FMCSA's biennial update is free. If you choose to use our agency assistance, any fee will be explained to you beforehand.

Temporary enforcement relief notice

FMCSA has issued temporary enforcement relief for biennial updates due on or after June 1, 2026. Carriers in that window are not currently subject to enforcement action for late updates while the relief is in effect. Verify the current status at fmcsa.dot.gov before relying on this notice.

Log in to Motus and submit
Follow the official FMCSA Motus instructions to complete your update. You control your Login.gov credentials and final submission.
